Hoyer Travels to the Midwest for Democrats

Continuing his aggressive nationwide travel schedule, House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer travels to Illinois and Nebraska this week to campaign for Democrats.

Whip Hoyer begins his travel in Illinois today with a fundraiser for Frontline Member Rep. Cheri Bustos. Rep. Bustos is serving her second term in Congress, representing Illinois’ 17th district. In the evening, Hoyer will attend a fundraiser for Rep. Bill Foster (IL-11).

On Tuesday, Hoyer will tour a local business, Rags of Honor, with Rep. Mike Quigley (IL-05). Rags of Honor is a screen-printing business that provides employment and support services to homeless veterans in Chicago. Hoyer will also visit the digital startup company 1871 and meet with local business leaders.

Tuesday evening, Hoyer will attend a fundraiser for former-Rep. Brad Schneider. Schneider served Illinois’ 10th district from 2012-2014, and is running to take back the seat in 2016.

On Wednesday, Hoyer will travel to Omaha, Nebraska where he will attend a fundraiser for Frontline Member Rep. Brad Ashford (NE-02).

Hoyer will then join Rep. Ashford at a roundtable discussion on job training and skills education at Metropolitan Community College.

During the 2014 election cycle, Hoyer campaigned for 98 Democrats in 33 states, and contributed or raised over $10 million for Democratic candidates.
