Washington, DC - Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer will travel to Massachusetts today, Friday, August 18th, to attend a fundraiser in support of Rep. Bill Keating (MA-09), who is running for re-election.
Now in his fourth term in Congress, Rep. Keating is a former Massachusetts state legislator and Norfolk County District Attorney. Hoyer has visited Massachusetts' Ninth District, which encompasses most of southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, to campaign for Rep. Keating in previous election cycles.
During the 2016 election cycle, Hoyer made campaign visits in support of ninety-three challengers and incumbents, raising or contributing $8.6 million to help elect Democrats in key races.
